Jeffrey D. Katz, Esq. Interviewed By WBAL-TV on Conservatorship Cases

Recently, Attorney Jeffrey D. Katz was interviewed by WBAL-TV to talk about the latest celebrity conservatorship cases that have made headlines. Namely, he touches on the conservatorship cases involving Jay Leno, Wendy Williams, and Cher. With this, Katz mentions how his firm sees such cases filed quite often with the Maryland courts, whether the grounds cited are a lost capacity due to age, a lost capacity due to substance abuse issues, or otherwise. He adds that, with each being unique, the courts may review the circumstances of each case on a routine basis. However, he states that many of these cases involve systematic or progressive conditions, thereby having it that many individuals sadly never exit such conservatorships or guardianships.
